How often are lessons? Can I book the same time each week?
>Voice lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis or biweekly basis. Prior payment is required to secure an available time slot.

What do you cover during a singing lesson?
>Each singing lesson focuses on proper technique with attention to song performance. Each lesson is customized to fit your particular vocal style, range, and ability.
>For more information on what to expect during a private voice lesson, go to the Voice Lessons page on this website.

What should I bring to my voice lesson?
>Plenty of water.
>An iPod, CD or MP3 player with songs you would like to work on.
>A voice recorder or tape recorder. This is not mandatory, but it is an excellent way for you to reference the lesson and document your progress.
>A student notebook will be provided to you - bring it to each lesson.
>Bring your SMILE and an eagerness to learn!

I have never taken a voice lesson before. Will it be intimidating?
>The atmosphere is warm and casual, yet focused. All levels of singing ability and experience are welcome. Most students feel freer and more open after just one lesson.
>If a student is very shy about singing, I will sing with them until they are comfortable. Vocal technique is largely about muscle memory and muscle isolation. During our voice class we learn to engage certain muscles and relax others at the same time.

Do you teach beginners?
>Whether you sing in the shower or comfort of your car, beginning vocalists of all ages are welcome! We will focus on the fundamentals of voice; following the lesson levels described on the Voice Lessons page on this website.

I sing professionally. Do you teach advanced techniques?
>Professional performers are welcome! Our focus during your voice lessons will be on repertoire, interpretation, performance, preparation and acting through your material.

What music styles do you teach?
>We can focus on a wide variety of musical styles, such as: Top 40, Jazz, Contemporary, Country, Rock, Musical Theatre, Classical and Folk.
